October’s QOTM Results
In October, we asked “Last year, how much do you think we spent clearing fly-tipping, rubbish left in the wrong place and contaminated recycling?”
Well done to the 41% of respondents who correctly answered £143,000 (£392 per day).
Fly-tipping causes untidy neighbourhoods, creates risks, and costs money to remove. We regularly inspect our estates for dumped waste to be cleared, and work with partners to take action against those responsible for fly-tipping and other environmental problems.
You can help too. Please dispose of rubbish and bulky items responsibly and report fly-tipping to us as soon as possible.
And the winners are…Congratulations to Christina in Barry, and Sharon in Cardiff on winning October’s £25 voucher draw. Remember to answer this month’s question above for your chance to win in November.
Who To Contact In The Event Of An Emergency In Your Home
With winter approaching, the change in weather can cause serious damage to your home in an emergency.
Examples of emergencies in your home typically include:
- severe flooding,
- gas leaks;
- structural damage,
- fire damage;
- no heating in very cold weather;
- or other hazards that pose immediate risk.
If there’s a risk to life, you should contact 999 immediately.
To report an emergency repair at your home, please contact us on 029 2049 8898 or enquiries@cadarn.co.uk.
When our Customer Experience Line is closed for the day, you can still call 029 2049 8898 to speak to our out-of-hours operatives Delta. If unable to contact Delta via phone, you can contact them online here.
Damp and Condensation – How To Report
We want all our tenants to live in a safe, warm and healthy home. Damp, mould and condensation can affect your home and, in some cases, your health.
When you report damp or mould, we will:
- Take your concerns seriously.
- Investigate the cause of the problem;
- Arrange any necessary repairs that are our responsibility;
- Provide advice and support to help prevent condensation and mould from returning.
Reporting issues early helps us identify the cause and take action as quickly as possible.
Contact us here to report any condensation issues.
Find out more about condensation here.

Action on Anti-Social Behaviour
We’re here to help if anti-social behaviour (ASB) is affecting you.
ASB counts as repeated examples of behaviours like abuse, threats, intimidation, loud noise, fly-tipping, drug dealing, or hate crimes.
If reporting, we need you to help us help you. Anonymous complaints are almost impossible to resolve and we’ll likely need a record or evidence of incidents, rather than general reports.
It’s also important to remember that while people’s behaviour may annoy you, that doesn’t make it ASB i.e. a one-off party, or general household noise like crying babies.
