David has worked in the sector since 1995, initially in a finance role, becoming Group Finance Director for Hafod Housing Association in 2010. In 2017 he was appointed Deputy Chief Executive at Hafod, taking responsibility for Housing, Care and Support. Following a year of retirement, he joined Cadwyn in June 2022 and was appointed Interim Chief Executive in November 2022.
His early career was with British Coal Corporation, where he qualified as an accountant and headed up finance teams in South Wales, North Yorkshire, South Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire.
Simon is responsible for the development & investment programme.
Simon has worked in the housing sector for over 25 years with significant experience in asset management, compliance, land acquisition, new build development and refurbishment. Simon has an enthusiastic passion for building well designed homes which are energy efficient and affordable for our residents. The investment team also specialise in innovative and speculative developments which generate income to reinvest in building more social homes for Cadwyn.
Catrin joined Cadwyn in November 2020 as Director of Housing.
Having worked within the charity sector for 15 years within homelessness and supported housing services, Catrin is passionate about person-centred, psychologically informed approaches. Very much a people person, Catrin is committed to customer service and co-production and believes in hearing the tenant voice throughout all that we do.
Kyle is responsible for finance and corporate services.
Kyle joined Cadwyn in June 2022 from Monmouthshire Housing Association. Kyle is a Chartered Accountant (ACA) having trained with Deloitte LLP in Cardiff. Kyle has worked with the Housing Sector for over 10 years and is a passionate advocate for the sector, having seen the positive impacts of quality social housing in both England and Wales.
Nerys joined Cadwyn in 2022 and specialises in strategic planning and delivery, system implementation and integration and working in collaboration to deliver improved services.
Nerys is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Chartered Management Institute and a GDPR Practitioner.
Joanne has always has a passion for the housing sector.
This started early on in her career when she worked for an accounts practice whose portfolio included a number of housing associations in Wales.
She became ACCA qualified in 2006 and has worked for Cadwyn since 2012 when she joined us as a finance officer and after a brief career move to another association she returned as the Head of Finance in 2018.
Richard has worked at Cadwyn since 2008 in a various management roles including supported housing, private sector leasing, business improvement and general needs. Prior to this, Richard worked in homelessness services in Cardiff. Richard is committed to tenants receiving a high standards of customer service and is passionate about equalities issues.
Outside of the day job, Richard enjoys running and watching his local football team.
David joined Cadwyn in March 2021 and has over 10 years of experience within Housing Association and Construction sectors.
David is experienced in building surveying and has a passion for construction health and safety. David is responsible for our Homes planned & reactive maintenance programmes and compliance with landlord health & safety ensuring that we deliver good quality, safe homes to our tenants. David is also responsible for our in-house maintenance team at Can Do Contractors who strive for continuous improvements in the delivery of an excellent repairs service.
