Following Jason Wroe’s departure as Chief Executive, I wanted to let all residents know about the arrangements we’ve put in place.
The Board has appointed Adrian Barber as Interim Chief Executive. Adrian brings over 35 years of experience in the housing sector, including previous roles as interim Chief Executive at Trivallis in South Wales and at Suffolk Housing. Most recently he served as Managing Director at Victory Homes, part of the Flagship Group. He has a strong track record of working alongside boards, staff and residents to strengthen services and build confidence during periods of change.
Adrian has been with us since early March and has already been getting to know the organisation, meeting staff and partners, and understanding the priorities ahead. He’ll be working closely with me and the Board, and with our leadership team, to make sure services to residents continue without interruption and that we keep making progress on the things that matter most. Adrian will also ensure that our commitments to tenants continue to be met in full during this transition period.
Both Newydd and Cadwyn continue to deliver excellent services to tenants across South and Mid Wales, and the partnership that brought us together has given us a solid foundation to build on. That doesn’t change with a change of Chief Executive. Our staff are experienced, committed and focused on doing a good job for the people and communities we serve.
Adrian will be in touch with many of you over the coming weeks. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us through the usual channels which you can find here.

Chair, Cadarn Housing Group
