Supported Housing

Cadwyn Supported Housing

We are committed to supporting people to overcome the difficulties and disadvantages that face them, to help them avoid repeat homelessness by addressing the reasons why they became homeless. Our approach to enabling people to maintain their tenancies aims to help them to live happy, healthy and fulfilled lives, and to contribute to their communities.

We have a range of supported housing, managed directly by ourselves and by other Accredited Support Providers.

Nightingale House

Nightingale House is our 26 room hostel. It provides safe, temporary accommodation for homeless families in need of support referred by Cardiff Council.

It is staffed 24 hours a day by trained support workers who work closely with other voluntary and statutory services to ensure adults and children are safe, receive appropriate support and move into suitable accommodation.

Tenant Support Service

Cadwyn provides a support service to our tenants to help them to develop the skills needed to maintain their tenancies. The Tenant Support Officers work closely with other departments within Cadwyn and with external agencies to ensure tenants can access the services they need. Organisations we work closely with include Gofal, Gwalia Care and Support, MIND and A4e.

Training

Our Supported Housing department also delivers training to external organisations in areas such as Support Planning, Distance Travelled and Risk Assessments. If you would like any further information on these courses please contact our Supported Housing Manager, Richard Vaughan at Richard.Vaughan@Cadwyn.co.uk.

Other support agencies we work with include:

The Wallich, Church Army, Opportunity Housing Trust, Ategi, Diocese of Llandaff Board for Social Responsibility, Innovate Trust, BAWSO, Women’s Aid and Llamau.
