Rent

Cadwyn tenants are charged rent in order to maintain their tenancy with us.

A rent statement is sent to tenants on a quarterly basis, which gives details of all rent payments and rent charges made to the account and also provides a summary of any other debts e.g. court costs or rechargeable repairs.

What if I can’t pay my rent?

How to Pay

You must pay your rent and any service charges every Monday, weekly in advance. You can pay in a number of ways:

Set up a Direct Debit – download the Direct Debit Mandate and send it back to us so we can arrange all the details with your bank or buiding society.

You can choose to make payments weekly every Friday or Monthly on the 1st, 15th or 28th of the month.

By phone - Call Cadwyn to make a payment using your debit or credit card. You will also need an allpay swipe card which we can order for you if you don’t already have one.

By cash using your allpay Swipe Card – at any Post Office or any shop displaying the Paypoint sign

By cheque – At our office in person or by post to 197 Newport Road, Cardiff, CF24 1AJ.

By Visiting the office – payment can be made by cash, cheque or debit/credit card.

Online - You can pay online using allpay or by using the allpay app.

Standing Order from your Bank Account (only if none of the Direct Debit Dates are suitable)

Housing Benefit

If you are receiving Housing Benefit, you will get a payment every 4 weeks from the Council. You can tell the Council to pay your Housing Benefit directly to us. This is a service that many tenants find convenient and most of our tenants pay their rent this way.
