Making the most of your money in 2012?

We can help! We are looking to work with Barclays to provide free money advice including help with setting up bank accounts and money skills workshops. We will update you on this as soon as we have more information.

Our Money Advisor Jean Lloyd is also on hand to help you with your money management including benefit entitlement, budgeting and referring you to other agencies that can help you. Call Jean on 029 2043 4438 or email jean.lloyd@cadwyn.co.uk.

One way to make the most of your money is by taking advantage of any offers and deals that are available. Some excellent deal vouchers can be found on the MoneySavingExpert website as well as lots of useful tips on cutting your costs and boosting your income.

To help your money go even further why not try Cadwyn’s food co-operative?

Large fruit, veg, salad and stir fry bags are available for just £2.50, helping you to make healthy meals on a budget. The co-op runs every Thursday from our office and is open to anyone. If you’d like to place an order please call us on 029 2043 4455 and ask for Zoe.

If you have any tips on making your money go further that you’d like to share let us know! We’d love to hear from you – email them to me -lauren.davies@cadwyn.co.uk or send them to 197 Newport Road, Cardiff, CF24 1AJ.

We’re still keen to hear how your new year’s resolutions are going and any tips you have on sticking to them. You may remember me telling you about my new year’s resolutions at the beginning of the month. They were:

  • To eat more healthily
  • To exercise more regularly
  • To learn to play the guitar

How have I got on so far? The healthy eating has gone well as I’ve made use of the food co-operative and made some lovely healthy meals but I admit I have given in to the odd cake! I’ve bought some exercise DVDs and am starting a new fitness class soon but I haven’t picked my guitar up yet! So I’ve still got quite a way to go!

If you would like to share your new year’s resolutions experience with us – please email/post them to me at the details above. We’d love to hear from you!
