Staff Development

Staff take great pride in their work and are keen to develop new skills by getting involved in additional projects and undertaking training and qualifications. We are keen to support staff development by funding formal qualifications and providing training opportunities outside of their ‘day jobs’ to help them learn new skills. For example, several members of staff have received training on using video cameras and editing software to make short films. You can see some examples of staff’s films on our YouTube channel.

To contribute further to staff development, we offer staff the opportunity to work on projects outside of their normal roles. This is a great chance to work with colleagues in other departments and to develop new skills and knowledge.

The annual Staff Away Day is another great opportunity for development. Staff spend the morning working in teams on a number of real-life business challenges and the afternoon is spent on fun, informal team building activities.
